I’m pretty ordinary; ordinary clothes, car, house. It’s how I show up in the world. Nothing fancy.
Then there’s my inner landscape. The place I travel in my mind, the thoughts I think, the things I wonder about, the efforts to get myself to change my perspective; to shake up my world views.
And in that inner landscape, a cavalcade of characters exists. An ensemble of energies. Way more than in the Pixar movie Inside Out. And many not nearly as cute.
Shakespeare says “All the world’s a stage, and all the men and women merely players.”
I think I’m my own stage, with a multitude of characters ready to step out as soon as they hear their cue.
It’s time to roll up my sleeves and pay closer attention to the show. I think there’s something to learn there.
Keep me posted on what you find out!

That’s pretty neat. I’m not sure why people are so insistent on having such fleshy possessions and judging others based on them.

I judge others (and myself) on so many different things–often unconsciously–it amazes me. Of course, I only notice I’m doing it when I…wake up to the fact. And I don’t always wake up. When I do, I’m getting better at laughing at myself.
